Snow Day

On Dec. 8th we got more snow than we have ever seen in Grand Junction. School was actually shut down. It took 6 weeks to melt because it was sooo cold.
Daddy and Xavier checking it out as the snow begins to fall and cover the ground. The next morning as Xavier napped, Madelyn and Mommy went outside to play in the snow. Madelyn just wanted to shovel it. Eventually she sat in it and played some, but she didn't want to lay down and make a snow angel. It was too powdery that day to make a snowman.
She did have fun!

Thanksgiving 2009

For Thanksgiving we were blessed to spend time with the Freidenberger side of the family. This was the first Thanksgiving with them in 7 years! Everybody came to our house.
Xavier ate and ate and ate until he was officially "stuffed." Grandma and Papa brought the little table just for the girls. They thought it was fun to have a "special" drink (sparkling apple juice) and they even had a candlelight dinner.
Xavier thought the Thanksgiving dinner was good stuff!
We "made" root beer by dropping a tablet into water. The girls thought it was great.
"Where's Xavier?" Peek-a-boo is a great game to play after dinner when your hands are all messy!
Poor Amelia, stuck watching fish while everyone else eats.
