Ouray/Telluride trip

We wanted to get away for a night, so we headed down to Ouray and Telluride. We went the last weekend of September and it was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect and the color with all the changing leaves was incredible.

A beautiful view from our hike. The view from our motel room. There we hiked Box Canon Falls. It was a fun hike.
Daddy and his kiddos.
Madelyn did pretty well and hiked most of it herself. She opted to ride on Daddy's shoulders up the stairs and up the big hill.
Once we were at a pretty flat place Xavier decided he wanted out of the backpack so he could hike.
Picture time with Daddy.
Picture time with Mommy.
After a long hike you need a nap. Xavier did not want to sleep in the pack-n-play, so he took a nap on the bed with Madelyn. This was his first time to sleep in a big bed.
The next morning we drove over to Telluride and did a little exploring. We enjoyed the gondola ride.
Before heading back home to Grand Junction we stopped at a park.
We enjoyed playing at the park and wearing the kids out so that they took a good nap on the way home.
